OK, here's my problem :
 
Zoomed to Regina SNF shapefile 
as active theme :
Zoom out to ~2,000 miles, there it is again, in the middle of Canada, the little pinkish smudge :
And here`s the .JPG from some babe in the Regina planning dept.zoomed to it as active theme.

Looks pretty similar to SNF above, right?

But now look!  Zoomed to full extent.  See the screw-up?  Regina .JPG is now larger than the planet earth.

 
 

It happened because ArcView did not give me a chance to register the .JPG against the existing shapefile's projection, when I added the .JPG as a new Theme to the View under the "Image Data Source" option.

Soooooo, what do I do Tom?
